The ninth annual Books in Boothbay: Maine's Summer Book Fair will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Boothbay Railway Village in scenic Boothbay, Maine. Forty authors from around the state will attend to sign their books, discuss their writing, and meet their fans. The event runs from 12:30 pm to 3:30 p.m., with an authors’ reception to follow. Admission is free to this year's event from noon until the end of the afternoon. Train rides are available on the authentic, coal-fired, steam-driven railroad for only $5.00, and each purchase qualifies the rider to enter to win tickets to "A Day Out With Thomas" in August.
The public can meet the authors and purchase their latest work from 12:30 until 3:30 p.m and also enjoy a special appearance by Farmer Minor and his pig Daisy at 2:00. The Book Fair is sponsored by the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library, the Boothbay Railway Village, and The Villa in Boothbay Harbor, John Edwards's Jewelry, and McSeagull's Restaurant, with support from Sherman’s Books & Stationery.
